In a Case Brought by Kaiser PLLC, the DC Circuit Finds Trump Is Not Immune from Civil Suit Over January 6
In Swalwell v. Trump, a case brought by Kaiser PLLC and its friends at CalebAndonian, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit upheld a trial court and held that former President Donald Trump is not immune from civil liability for his role in the insurrection on January 6. The case was brought by Representative Eric Swalwell, a Member of Congress who was in the House chamber on January 6th. The appeal was consolidated with two other cases.
As quoted by CNN, partner Matt Kaiser said that “This is the right result and an important step forward in holding former President Trump accountable for the insurrection on January 6.”
